ABSTRACT

Objective@#To investigate the biological characteristics of high hyperdiploid and triploid/tetraploid acute myeloid leukemia (HH/TT-AML) and its relationship with prognosis. @*Methods@#The clinical data of 28 patients with newly diagnosed HH/TT-AML during March 2006 and June 2017 were retrospectively analyzed, and the factors influencing prognosis were analyzed by the Kaplan-Meier method. @*Results@#The karyotypes of HH/TT-AML patients were mainly 49 chromosomes, accounting for 39.3% (11/28), followed by 50-55 chromosomes, accounting for 32.1% (9/28). The karyotypes of high hyperdiploid acute myeloid leukemia (HH-AML) patients were more likely to be +8 (77.3%, 17/22) or +21 (54.5%, 12/22). The survival analysis showed that the overall survival rate of HH/TT-AML patients with -5/5q-, -7/7q-, -17/der(17p) or der(3q) was significantly lower than that without these abnormalities (4.1 months vs 10.1 months,P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the overall survival rate between triploid/tetraploid acute myeloid leukemia (TT-AML) patients and HH-AML patients (8.4 months vs 7.2 months,P>0.05). The overall survival rate of the patients with allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation was significantly longer than that with chemotherapy alone (25.4 months vs 4.1 months,P<0.01). @*Conclusion@#HH/TT AML patients are highly heterogeneous. The identification of poor prognosis-related chromosome abnormalities is helpful for the stratification of prognosis. The overall survival time of these patients is short. Early allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation after remission by combination chemotherapy can significantly improve the prognosis of these patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effect of Jiaotai Pills ( JP) on hypothalamic neurotransmitters of Orexin A and gamma-aminobutyric acid ( GABA) in rapid eye movement ( REM) sleep deprivation rats. Methods Rat model of REM-sleep deprivation was established by water small platform method. The rats were randomized into 6 groups, namely normal control group, model group, Diazepam group (3 mg/kg), and high-, medium-and low-dose JP groups ( JP in the dosage of 18.6, 9.3 and 4.6 g/kg respectively) . Enzyme-labeled instrument was used to detect the absorbance ratio of rat hypothalamic Orexin A content, and high performance liquid phase electrochemical detection method was adopted for the detection of hypothalamic GABA content. Results Compared with the normal control group, all of the rats in the model group suffered from insomnia, and the Orexin A content was increased ( P0.05) . Conclusion The sedative and hypnic mechanism of JP is probably related with the inhibition of hypothalamic Orexin A.

ABSTRACT

To improve the quality of teaching is the core task of the development of higher education, and effective teaching is the fundamental guarantee to promote students to learn effectively, and to improve the teaching quality and talents cultivation quality, which has very important significance to exploring the effective teaching idea and implementation strategy. In the teaching of medical immunology for example, the author combined the characteristics of the course, and had a preliminary discussion on the feature of effective teaching,to explore the effective teaching strategies of thought guiding before class, creating context in class, autonomous learning at recess, teaching reflection after class,to provide reference for college teachers to improve teaching ability and teaching effectiveness.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effects of Hydroxy Safflor yellow A (HSYA) on the growth of blood vessel of transplantation tumor of gastric adenocarcinoma cell line BGC-823 in nude mice and its underlying mechanism of antagonizing tumor angiogenesis.

METHODThe BGC-823 cells was subcutaneouly injected into the right anterior armpit of BALB/C nu/nu nude mice and established the animal model of transplantation tumor. Then nude mice were divided into 4 groups at random: model group, control group, high or low dosage of HSYA group. The model group were treated with normal sodium by intraperitoneal injection, HSYA groups were treated with HSYA at concentration of 0.056 g x L(-1) and 0.028 g x L(-1) by intraperitoneal injection, and in these groups each mouse was injected 2 times everyday with 0.2 mL by 4-6 hours interval. The control group were injected in enterocoelia 1 times every 2 days starting from the third day with cytoxan at 2 g x L(-1). 20 days later, the volume and weight of nude mice were observed. The pathological change of tumor tissue was observed under optical microscope. The mRNA expression of VEGF and bFGF of transplantation tumor were detected by real time quantitative PCR.

RESULTThe volume (607.42 +/- 252.96) mm3, weight (0.88 +/- 0.14) g of transplantation tumor, the mRNA expression level of VEGF 0.49 +/- 0.13 and bFGF 0.60 +/- 0.48 are reduced significantly after treatment with HSYA at the concentration of 0.028 g x L(-1) compared with physiologic saline-treated group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). The tumor pathological angiogenesis of HSYA group is also less obvious than the normal sodium-treated group.

CONCLUSIONHSYA in given concentration can inhibit the growth of BGC-823 transplantation tumor, and decreasing the mRNA expression of VEGF and bFGF, which suggests that inhibiting tumor angiogenesis may be one of the mechanisms of HSYA antagonizing tumor.

ABSTRACT

To improve the teaching effect of the course of Clinical Immunology and Immunological Laboratory, the theory of constructivism is applied to its teaching, which both promotes students to understand the course of Clinical Immunology and Immunological Laboratory and improves the students' ability of active study and cultivates their criticizing thoughts.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the antitumor effects and the effect of GFW on the Fas expression in spleen T-lymphocyte of the tumor-bearing mice. Methods The S180 mice sarooma model was used to detective the inhibiting effects of GFW,the Fas expression in spleen T-lymphocyte between the normal group, the model group, the GFW group and the CY group were analyzed by the flow cytometry. Results For S180 sarcoma, the inhibiting ratio of GFW is 38.93%.The protein expression of Fas showed to rise in the the model group and the CY group. There was significant difference between them and normal group(P0.05).Conclusions GFW has the antitumor function and can adjust immune through inhibitor the apoptosis of T-lymphocyte.its mechanism maybe closely related with adjusting expression levels of the Fas expression in spleen T-lymphocyte to normal.

ABSTRACT

Health food has been used for a long history in our country, and it has unique advantages and is an important part of national medical care delivery in China. Up to now,its use is not under administration of food safety law. This article analyzes the differences among health food, drug and common food, the advantages in theory, resource, safety and compatibility of health food, the laws and regulations of health food published by government, and the status of health food industry,in order to demonstrate the importance and urgency of health food being administrated under food safety law,for the purpose of obtaining the academic and legal consensus.
